And here comes the moment to see finally a bit of decoration in the interior of those beautiful stone houses we are building in Pelion!
The first pictures are from the "light" refurbishment we did in the old house called "Erifili"
All the rest are from Thalia's stone house where a more radical renovation took place

Our Friend Aggeliki who's a great local artist asked us to design & construct her home library
One of the issues was to place this construction in a long & narrow corridor of the appartment, so everything had to be comfortable
but also easy to use & of course beautiful to see it from the open plan living room & dining room
So here are the plans & some photos of the resault

Starting a new "beauty project" in Retouche!
Today i was very happy to hear that we've got this new project to renovate this beauty studio.
It's an old great appartment in the city center of Volos with a nice background in materials, but also with many things that sould change NOW

It's Moday... What ever that means for most of the people...
Today we arranged a meeting at the site. People from almost all the specialties related to the construction of the building were there
Fortunately the weather begins to improve, because both Gatzea & especially Agios Georgios, are areas of Pelion that are usually "hit" by the bad weather...
So there we go & here are some quick results of the day!

while thinking of a new series of furniture, on the occation of a new residencial project,
the first thing that came in my mind was the combination of the two favourite materials - colors:
white (glass or marble) & wood. But as always it's not enough. So, let's see what will come next.
For now oak wood, carrara marble & white glass for "woodwhite"
available also in white or green or black marble base

woodwork LAB. is the place to learn how to develop your skills or to find out your talents
woodwork LAB. invites all those who are interested in developing their skills in design matters, composition, the study of a piece of furniture, or discover thei r talents around this activity. The workshop lasts three days - 15 hours and is the first in a series of seminars that will take place in our studio each time in a different time of year. This first workshop is organized in order to get to know all those steps to create a piece of furniture, from the thinking up situation till the implementation. From the possibilities of a simple pencil till the use of heavy-duty machinery, with the valuable assistance of experienced carpenters. The project involves the construction of an auxiliary table with artistic character which after the completion of the workshop will be yours! They will be given dimensions and materials (with proposed exclusive use of wood or derivatives without excluding other materials), that will be given to you during the period of submissions. Before the process of planning the participants will be informed with news around the world design, construction issues, influences, and materials for furniture and their use.

Our visit to Maison et Objet, Paris
Αpproximately two weeks after the really sad attack at the offices of the Parisian satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo (07.01.15)
we found ourselves in Paris. The truth is that it wasn't exactly what i was expecting from this visit.
There was a widespread melancholy on the streets which is the most natural emotional reaction to every single brutal action
in this planet... But apart from that (if you can just say that after what's written above), Paris is Paris
We woke up. We saw this thing above from our window... nothing else to say...

Especially when it's combined with those beautiful Renaissance parisian buildings, the contradiction in unique!

The only thing that is worth is the breathtaking view from the last floor were the toilets are, as you can see in the picture above!

A short tribute to salone del mobile, Milan
Once you are there and after finding the "Negruzzi Family" you literally run to reach Zona Tortona.
And after that goes anything else. It's the feeling and the energy you take & you missed since last year.
All these people wandering with the same more or less interests with you.
Especially at a sunny day having a cup of creamy capuccino & planning your next visits...

Then, you enter into those beautiful buildings full of stories and people
and you get inspired and a little bit of jealus by all those incredible istallations

On our walk we passed by e15 (one of my top furniture & lighting companies).
A really inspiring place. Simplicity & stylishness at its best!

Next stop, downtown Milan.
A panzerotto at Luini's with the rest of the visitors & the locals (as always),
a walk arround the city center in order to take some photos.
I'm always obcessed with the Italian buildings & doors!

We had an amazing walk (many kilometers) & enjoyed alot every single step!
We took a break like the senior over there under the warm sun
& then we started again towards the Brera district!

It's always "grande" when you walk in these narrow streets in Brera design district during the "isaloni del mobile".
Imagine this period where you can enter into beautiful buildings
that you've always wanted to see from the inside & never had the chance.
And that's what we did in our favourite Brera!
Event locations, showrooms, shops, temporary stores, offices and unconventional spaces,
were there for you to admire or get inspired by.
After checking all this super "Fuorisalone" showrooms we made a stop
at a little beautiful patisserie - cafe & tried some of the delicacies they we preparing along with a big cup of capuccino
(always a capuccino no matter what the time was... :)
just before our last stop in fabulous and authentic Milanese hangout STRAFhotel & bar behind Duomo.
After a couple of coctails with the aperitivo, back to the Negruzzi Family with a sweet lightheadedness.
Tomorrow is the big day for the fierra!
